Our Faith and Beliefs
Cross Life School of Divinity, affirm our unwavering commitment to the following core Christian beliefs and values, which serve as the foundation of our school's teachings and practices. We believe:
1. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. We worship and serve the one true God, who is loving, just, and all-powerful.
2. The Authority of Scripture
We affirm the divine inspiration and authority of the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, as the infallible Word of God. It is our guide for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
3. Salvation Through Jesus Christ
We believe in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins and rose from the dead, offering eternal life to all who repent and place their faith in Him as Lord and Savior.
4. The Holy Spirit's Work
We acknowledge the Holy Spirit's presence and work in the lives of believers, empowering them for Christian living, guiding them into truth, and bestowing spiritual gifts for service.
5. The Church
We affirm the significance of the Church, the body of Christ, composed of all believers in Jesus Christ. We gather as a local church to worship, fellowship, and engage in ministry together.
6. The Great Commission
We embrace the Great Commission given by Jesus to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all that He commanded. We are committed to evangelism, missions, and spreading the gospel message.
7. Christian Ethics and Values
We uphold Christian ethics and values, including love, compassion, forgiveness, integrity, and social justice. We seek to live out these principles in our daily lives and interactions.
8. Marriage and Family
We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman and the importance of strong, God-centered families as the building blocks of a healthy society.
9. The Second Coming
We anticipate the return of Jesus Christ, when He will judge the living and the dead, and establish His eternal kingdom.
10. Unity in Diversity
We celebrate the diversity of God's creation and welcome individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life to be part of our school community, united in our faith in Jesus Christ.
This Doctrinal Statement serves as our unifying creed, guiding our educational mission and spiritual journey. As we seek to educate, train, certify, and ordain individuals, we do so in accordance with these foundational beliefs, trusting in God's grace and guidance.
